In the film 'Batman & Robin', the one in which Uma Thurman played Poison Ivy, Pamela Isley (the before Poison Ivy) is a researcher. She finds that her boss has enhanced soldier Bane with a plant-toxin cocktail called Venom, and is trying to auction him off.

Her boss tries to kill Pamela Isley. He throws her into a vat of this toxin-cocktail. And out she comes, transformed into Poison Ivy.

She has plant superpowers. She can make plants do her (usually villainous) bidding. She can make them grow superfast.

She also has a lethal kiss. Because she holds lethal plant toxin in her lips.

Finishing Touches
This is where these Poison Ivy Costumes come from. For authenticity, you may want to finish off your costumes with glamourous make up, perhaps using green eyeshadow on your eyelids, green eyeliner, and dashes of green eyeshadow on your cheeks and temples.

You could also use glitter or stick-on crystals to look like dewdrops.
